Together with my wife Helen Slingsby, founder of Hanrebor Gundogs, I have worked, owned and trained gundogs for 25 years + and more recently in the last 8 years I have competed in Field Trials and Working Tests and have had much success. I have been lucky enough to qualify and run my own dogs in the IGL Retriever Championships on two occasions and have bred, and owned FTW’s and FTCH’s.

In the last two years I have had a change of profession and have become a full time gundog trainer. The knowledge I can share with my clients is from my own experiences and proven methods and I feel I am able to adapt my training to suit the handlers and their dogs to enable them to reach their goal. Ultimately, I enjoy seeing my clients and their dogs succeed in whichever path they decide to take.

Thank you for the invite to judge the Go South Cup and I am looking foreward to meet you all.

My interest in shooting and gundog training started in my early teens. I first competed in field trial in the early seventies. Since then I have had considerable success with labradors and golden retrievers running under the Findpoint affix. I have qualified for the IGL Retriever Championship six times and my best placing to date a diploma of merit in 2014.

I have been an A panel judge for more than thirty years and have judged all over England, Ireland and Europe. At present I have the honour of being the president of the international gundog league.

I am honoured that the Go South Cup committee has inviting me to judge, and look forward to meeting all the competitors at this year’s May event.

For over 20 years I have been training and competing with Retrievers at all levels. I enjoy shooting, picking up, trialling and participating in Working Tests.

I run Golden Retrievers and labradors in France and abroad. Three of my dogs I have made up to International Field Trial Champions. I have also achieved some nice results at the European Championship, Skinner’s World Cup events, GRC Centenary, IWT and the CLA Game Fair.

My Golden Mistybrook Tuscan - I qualified him twice at the IGL Championship. And recently I won the International Working Test (IWT) in Italy with my newest recruit Lesser Burdock Deene, a son of my INT FTCH Carolhill Quistador.

I am actively involved in the French Retriever Club and the French Kennel Club. As an international judge. I enjoy meeting and judging gundog friends old and new!

I wish you all the best of luck.

I am Danish and have trained mainly Labradors for 35+ years. Drive and style combined with a strong will to please are some of the most important features to look for in a young dog. Natural gamefinding ability when shooting over and competing with a retriever must always be of the highest priority. Have been living, shooting, competing in the UK for almost 20 years.

Have judged several Field Trials and Working Tests. I am a Kennel Club Panel A Judge.

I am very pleased to be invited to judge the Go South Cup 2019 and looking forward to the weekend in the Bavarian Forest.
